Q & A about your DUI Rights
1. What tests should I take?
The DUI lawyers RLG recommend that you submit to all requests for blood, breath or urine. This is the case even if the police ask you to do one or more tests or to blow several times.
2. What tests should or can I decline?
We do not recommend that you do the silly coordination, pen in the eye, or balancing tests. We believe these tests lack scientific reliability. Furthermore, there is no penalty if you refuse them.
3. Do I have to answer questions?
No. Politely decline and request a confidential telephone call to your attorney. You do have to give your name, show your driver's license, registration and proof of insurance.
Please be cooperative and act courteously. Do not try to talk your way out of an arrest, and it is best not to lie. Simply keep your mouth closed and you will later be glad you did.
RLG attorneys are experienced in all aspects of DUI law. If you have been arrested for DUI, a criminal defense attorney at RLG will fight to protect your rights. We serve the entire Bay Area.
